I want to give these 5 stars but they're actually a 4-4. 5. I had been wanting to use Meeden's cheaper craft/child version for students but decided on these for making kits. They have just a few issues-but I fell in love with these paints. They are very lovely and I'm highly recommending them to beginners and crafters especially

After a couple of years of experience with acrylic I decided to try water coloring. I love these watercolors as they are of good quality with perfect color variety. In addition each color has a decent level of consistency and it��s not dried out as the tubes were sealed with a thin plastic cover. I cannot wait to paint more.

This is a really nice set of inexpensive water color paints . The tubes are big! Just about any color that a beginner would need. I hate to say just for a beginner because the quality of the paints is not bad at all! I found the colors to be vibrant . I did a swatch card and the colors seem true to their names . I did a quick watercolor post card sketch and the paints behaved well . Washes were easy I probably had the paints a bit too watered down so they look pale on the postcard. I did do an extra tiny sketch as an afterthought on some scrap paper to test the vibrancy of the warmer colors . They seem fine. Might stain the paper pretty quickly so I��m not sure how well the color would lift when needed .
Everyone has their favorite paints . . me included. And all paints behave differently. My thoughts are that these are good beginner or intermediate paints for an art student or amateur like myself. I��m sure I��ll be using them to practice techniques .
Definitely a good value for the money.

They are lovely not chalky snd most are single pigment. A few of the colours aren’t as Defoe in hue as I’m used to but the colours are mostly true to what I expect. Hands down the best deal on paints and super high quality

I bought these on the recommendation of Diane Antone the Artist. I'm so glad I did. They are brilliantly pigmented and have a lovely creamy consistency. I find these paints a joy to use. The colours are vibrant and the choice of colours is excellent. And so reasonably priced too. What more can you ask for? I will definitely buy these again.

Rich colours that blend well. Thoughtful selection of blues, reds and yellows. Both warm and cool in each. Greens, browns and purples also rich. Included is black and white

Out of the different types of paints we used these watercolors were my favorite. The colors were vibrant and very forgiving. For someone who doesn't know much about painting I think these are the best

The paint colors are amazing! Although the paint is a little hard to paint without adding some water.

I'm a novice and haven't used watercolors in years. I found the color to be nice on these and really enjoyed using them. They are vibrant and i like the tubes of paint. I think they are also a good price point

Good pigment good selection of colors and combines well. I used with two kids for painting on thicker watercolor paper and it worked great!

Very good selection of watercolours it includes black useful for shades of grey watercolours which can be missing from a small paintbox. White has very little application in watercolour on white paper (but can be useful for young children to create a thick pink otherwise omitted). The one colour I would like substituted for `burnt umber' would be `emerald green'. Darker colours can always be made by adding minute amounts of black to any colour but bright colours cannot be created by mixing paints. But the selection still deserves 5 stars!

These colors are lovely! They have a nice fluidity straight out of the tube not gloppy like some. They're well pigmented water down nicely and give you good control over your color saturation. They blend nicely too. I don't paint well but I enjoy doing it. For me these are a fantastic value especially because each tube is a good amount and I know I'll waste product making mistakes.
