It was not packaged properly (no padding) so one of the pieces arrived chipped.
The pieces do not fit together quite right so there is a gap between the shelf part and the frame on one side. This means that if I'm using a thin canvas board it will slip down, which really defeats the purpose of an easel in the first place.

I actually enjoyed assembling this little guy It looks beautiful in my space and it just excites me for future projects that I have in mind. Although I do plan on purchasing an additional easel very soon . W Meeden !

I love the easel as a whole. Easy to assemble easy to use but some of the screws were shorter than required and had to purchase longer ones

Eine sehr sch?ne und stabile Staffelei. Auch der Aufbau war super einfach! Kann sie nur empfehlen. Die dazu gelieferten Farben habe ich bisher noch nicht getestet und kann nichts dazu sagen.

Fits my canvas perfectly. Couldn't be happier and a great price! One vector graphic on instructions is wrong and assembling is a bit confusing but not that hard. Be gentle w/ the screws. Enjoy very nice product.

It is a good product. . . but the directions were NOT correct. At least I am good at putting together things. Also it is not as tight as I wanted it due to the way it is built. Some of the nobs need to be very tight but in tightening them it cuts into the wood. It also shakes a lot if you are an aggressive painter like I am. It holds very small and very large canvases also. But overall it is still a very good product for the price.

Shipped and arrived in a timely manner. I ordered the stool as well. Both arrived at the same time. Opening the boxes I saw no damage and all the parts needed were there. the materials are solid wood precisely cut and a nice smooth finish. The fittings were all steel and brass w/ the exception of the plastic tension knobs.

The instructions were wanky but I didn't need them anyway. Turns out the wrong instructions were included but the company quickly contacted me and let me know they would send correct instructions via email. As I said I didn't bother with them anyway. I just looked at the picture of the assembled easel and found it easy to figure out which pieces went together. I did put one piece on backward but noticed it right away and fixed it easily. The connectors were all hex driven (comes w/ a hex key) but I would have preferred Phillips heads so I could use my drill. Stool materials and assembly matched the easels quality and ease. An optional cushion for the stool would have been a welcome choice. I chose this easel both because it was inexpensive and tilts to a full upright 90 degrees essential for a pastel artist.

Honestly I could not have purchased the wood alone for less than $200. I don't know how they can afford to sell this easel for so little. As I said in the headline - Excellent quality exceptional service at a great price. [and no. . . no one is paying me for this review or giving me any other compensation

It's probably unusual that I have assembled 3 easels from Meeden. They are all very well designed and constructed. The thoughtful designs make them very straightforward to assemble.

This easel is perfect. It is sturdy and can hold huge canvases up to 6 ft tall. It reaches to my ceiling but still stores nicely under my bed when collapsed. The wood is beautiful and well varnished. The instructions for assembling the easel were incredibly simple and detailed; each piece was neatly packaged and labeled. There was an error on step 4, the pieces labeled 8 and 9 need to be reversed. Nonetheless, it was pretty easy to figure out and satisfying to build. I highly recommend!

I had seen a Meeden H frame that could be tilted, I had looked at so many different ones though, I thought this one tilted (it does not) but I still love it. It’s great quality and sturdy.

Really good quality absolutely pleased with my purchase.Its sturdy easy to put together.Its adjustable so you can paint at various heights.Would definitely recommend

LOVE my new easle! Sturdy fairly easy to assemble and very happy that I can adjust it to work standing or sitting down. Very good quality!

The assembly instructions are ridiculous. In one of the steps they have the parts backwards from the way they’re supposed to be inserted (switch part 8 and 9) and in another step the screws are too short (assigns E but needs the same size as F). I won this in a raffle so I can’t return or request replacement parts. Will need to go to Home Depot. It was free so can’t complain too much.

Meeden was unable to deliver after a 30 day wait! I canceled the order. Amazon delivered the same easel in 2 days!!!

One of the previous reviews mentioned a couple of screws being too short. It appears that the company has not corrected this. It is the package “E”. The assembly process would be easier had the illustration been more clear.

Assembly isn't the best but got it figured out. Sturdy and beautiful once put together.

Everything about it was great. The only thing is one of the pieces was pre inserted into another piece. On the instructions those pieces were called 10 and 13. I thought they left out a piece until I realized they were already attached. Minor inconvenience but everything else was easy to assemble and the end result was amazing.

I'm so happy with this purchase a real treat for me. I paint mostly small paintings but this certainly could handle large canvases no problem. Easy to adjust not too heavy to move easily but it is very sturdy & doesn't move when I'm working because of rubber feet. Put it together myself & did take a bit of thinking between instructions & video on their website got it done fairly easily- only had to undo one thing I had done incorrectly. Recommend you lay everything out read instructions & refer frequently to diagrams & watch video while you are assembling. If I can do it so can you!
