MEEDEN Deluxe Multi-Function Heavy Duty Large Artist Easel-DHJ-3

I needed the flexibility, strength, and versatility that this easel offers. It is performing very well with large scale canvases. I put it together myself with the assistance of youtube! Highly recommend!

I purchased this easel less than two years ago, in part because the company advertises a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, one of the adjustment mechanisms no longer tightens, making that part of the easel unusable.

I contacted customer service and was initially pleased with their response. They agreed to send a replacement part under the warranty. When it didn't arrive, I was told it had been lost during "last-mile" delivery and that another replacement would be sent.

It has now been another 2–3 weeks, I still have not received the replacement part, and my most recent inquiry has gone unanswered.

The product itself may have a lifetime warranty, but a warranty is only meaningful if it is actually honored. My disappointment is less about the defective part than about the lack of follow-through and communication after the initial promise to resolve the issue.

I hope the company improves both its warranty process and customer service because, at this point, I cannot recommend the product based on my experience.

I am smitten with this easel! It is so versatile in the ways it can be used: vertical, horizontal, angled, raised and lowered. It's an artist's dream!

The easel is very sturdy— and easy to adjust. In thrilled with the fact that is goes flat. This is perfect for the way I pant.

Superb support and attention to customer service

I particularly like the ability to lay the easel flat. This makes varnishing easier. My only complaint, is that piece #10, and the threaded insert stripped out the second time I tried to tighten it.

I’ve been painting flowers every morning. I absolutely love this easel and find painting with oils very satisfying.

Best easel I??ve ever had! I paint on old windows and it??s actually strong enough to hold. It adjusts to me so it??s great for my aching back. Highly recommend.

This is my first easel. I just started painting recently so I was concerned about the cost and quality. NO NEED TO WIRRY!! The price was great it was easy to put together all of the fittings worked perfectly and the easel is just really cool! I love how big a canvas it can hold and I live that it can be adjusted to horizontal from vertical. And the wheels are great so I can tuck it in the corner if needed. Never thought I would care about an easel much less be excited by one!! Great purchase!!

Meeden art supplies staff I was so pleased when I received my heavy duty easel. It was put together and then it had to be moved and some of the hardware was lost!! I would like to get another set of hardware so that I can put my easel back together. I will pay for it if I have to. This product can be used as an easel or table. ??

The easel arrive very well packaged. All the pieces were clearly marked and the 12 step instructions booklet was easy enough to follow (I'm 61 years young) and it took me about 45 minutes to assemble it. I also appreciated that the screwdrivers and the allen key required were included. I really like the light wood and smooth finish. My only concern is that the slats are little loose but it seems pretty sturdy otherwise. I love that you can place two canvas simultaneously on it and that you can tilt it flat. The caster wheels roll easily and lock into place with easy. I think this was a great value for the price.

This is an awesome easel! Almost perfect and so good for the price! I could only give four stars because I had some issues: the catch in the above photo should have been centered to lock onto the middle strip. It??s to the right and useless. (This is for raising and lowering the easel and holding it in place. ) I had to move it. This wood is very solid and starter holes have to be drilled. There is also a bar that goes on the very top of the easel to hold your painting in that has three starter holes for screws but they weren??t deep enough and I had to drill them deeper to get the screws to go all the way in.
The instructions were pictures only but pretty good.
It came well packed.
The customer service was lacking as no matter how I dialed their number it wouldn??t go through. I found an email address but probably because of time differences it would take a day or so to hear back and I had to send pics before I could get any answers but the employee was cordial. A little more clarity on reaching customer service would help.
The profile is fairly light tall and thin and the wheels roll well and there are many adjustments that can be made. The wood is solid and quality. I look forward to many years of use!
I like this company and what they do and hope they can work out the issues as this is a great product.

Had a small problem at first but the people at Meeden made it right for me very satisfied with the easel and the customer support.

It was easy to put together. Instructions were nice and clear. Took maybe 20-30 min. I think it needs a counter weight on the back side for heavy duty large canvases to prevent jostling movement of you paint vigorously but that's simple with a pair of cheap gallon jugs of water or a weight or other heavy thing like a child who really wants $20 to stand there without moving for 20 minutes. Kidding of course mostly.

It holds the canvas perfectly. I saw other reviews about the thick canvases not fitting on the shelf but that's a plus in my opinion. It means I don't have to fight with painting down to the edge since my deep canvas sticks out just a little.

Shifting it up and down is extremely easy and I have arthritis.

The fact that it doesn't have an inset shelf is fine with me I never use those anyway as I have a tall cart next to me as I work.

The instructions and labeling were very clear. It took about 20 minutes to put it together and it is exactly what I needed, Larger easels will not fit in my studio space and a love the easy with which I can move it around,
